According to investigators, Kharat allegedly misused the trust of people who approached him for help. According to Damania, Kharat allegedly used the alias “Shizuka Nodi” while carrying out fraudulent activities and deceiving people. She further alleged that powerful individuals might have supported him, suggesting the possibility of a financial or political nexus.
Damania also raised questions about a separate claim that Rupali Chakankar had contacted her 177 times. She questioned why Chakankar had not yet been summoned by investigators and why such frequent communication took place in the first place.

Concerns Over Kharat’s Safety
Damania has warned that Kharat’s life could be in danger. She stated that the current political climate is unusual and that Kharat himself had expressed fear for his safety while in police custody.
